Sourced directly from my mum’s family farm in Guizhou, this batch showcases what spring leaves can achieve. The powder is a vivid, bright green, whisking into a silky suspension with a rich layer of fine microfoam. In the bowl, it delivers the kind of vibrant colour that matcha lovers love to show off.
Expect a gentle and balanced personality. Batch #2 opens with natural sweetness and fresh vegetal notes, followed by a smooth, creamy body and a clean finish. The bitterness found in many lower-grade matchas is notably absent, allowing the sweetness and umami to take centre stage.

Lovely matcha, it’s very finely milled so whisks up gorgeously, most of the time I don’t even sieve it. So vibrant, the smell is so fresh and a little floral. Delicious in a latte (4g matcha, 200ml coconut milk) and also as usucha. I will rebuy every time I run out!
